Webmail Notice - 02 April 2008

The Webmail system was upgraded on 1st April 2008. The system now has improved features, which are detailed in the online documentation. This can be accessed from the log in window and, when you have logged into the program, by clicking Help the top menu.

The changes do not affect the settings in your mail client (Outlook or Outlook Express)

Logging In

The first thing you will notice is that the log in window has changed. Instead of entering your user name and mailbox e.g. username-info, you now enter your email address. info@username.co.uk.

NOTE: If you have more than one domain name pointing to your account (e.g. username.co.uk and username.com, you need to log in with your primary domain. If you are not sure which is your primary domain, log in to your control panel via the Your Account link in the Member Area menu. The primary domain is shown on the opening screen.

Your password has not been changed.

Layout Styles - Information updated 29/04/08

If you leave the Interface setting at the default (Advanced IE/FF), the layout style is similar to Outlook. The "Basic (Any browser) option is worth trying as it is a simpler. However, there is currently a technical fault with adding attachments using the Basic interface. See below.

Composing and Forwarding Messages

If you get an error message about the browser's pop-up blocker when attempting either to open a new message or forward a message, hold down the Control key (Ctrl) while you select New Mesage or Forward..

Attachments - Updated 09/05/08

There is currently a technical issue with adding attachments:

1. Using the Basic Interface - Documents cannot be successfully attached.

2. Using the Advanced (IE/FF) Interface - Intermittent fault. Sometimes the attachment is not included with the message. Before closing the "Message successfully sent" window, check that the message says "Message successfully sent | Email Contains Attachments". If it only says "Message successfully sent", the attachment will not have been included. This can be checked after the window has been closed by opening the Sent folder and checking that the message is marked as including an attachment. If you then open the message you will see the attachment.

We hope to have this issue fixed soon. It is being attended to as a priority.

In the meantime, it is now possible to access the old webmail interface using the following link:

- Log in to the previous Webmail interface -
Remember to log in with the username in this format:

account-mailbox
e.g. If your account name is mycompany and your mailbox is info@ you would log in with mycompany-info

We apologise for any inconvenience.

If you have any difficulty with the new system, please contact us on 01978 350733. If you need to leave a message, please ensure you include your name and telephone number and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
