Webmail01 May 2009 There are two Webmail systems available to you, the original simple system and a new, more comprehensive system. For most users the original system will be the best option as it is faster to open and more straightforward. It is particularly good for people who only use Webmail when they are out of the office. If you are using an internet cafe, where time is money, we would recommend this option. There is only one real disadvantage to the simple system - it doesn't store sent emails. The way around this is to enter your own email address in the BCC (blind copy) address line before clicking Send. This will send a copy of the message back to your mailbox for your records. Simple Webmail (Previous Interface)- Log in to the simple interface - Remember to log in with the username in the format account-mailbox and your mailbox password. e.g. If your account name is mycompany and your mailbox is info@ you would log in with mycompany-info Comprehensive Webmail (New Interface)You don't have to use the same interface every time you log in so we would recommend trying out the comprehensive system. However, you should be aware that there is an unresolved issue with sending attachments. - More about using the comprehensive webmail interface and the issue with sending attachments -. - Log in to the comprehensive webmail interface - Log in with your email address e.g. info@yourcompany.co.uk and your mailbox password. Webmail gives you access to your mailbox directly on the server and enables you to deal with your mail when you are away from the office. It can also be useful if you ever have a problem with your email client - Outlook or Outlook Express - downloading your mail. This can sometimes be caused by a large attachment or other issue with a particular message. Webmail enables you to remove the problem message. Webmail is not intended to be a replacement for Outlook or Outlook Express and you should be aware that read messages more than one month old and unread messages more than 3 months old are removed from your mailbox.
